Meet Your Guide

I am a passionate advocate for service and empowering women. As a Montana fly fishing guide, trauma-informed coach (International Coaching Federation accreditation is in process), a Coast Guard licensed Captain, and outdoor enthusiast, I use my extensive knowledge and personal experiences to help women feel confident in the outdoor space and beyond.

I am the founder of Two Gals and a Boat, a fly fishing education platform focused on conservation, community, and empowering women to explore the outdoors with confidence.

I am also the host of the Two Gals and a Mic podcast (©2024), where I interviewed 50 extraordinary women who shared their stories and inspired others to find their voices and embrace their unique journeys.

With a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Leadership from The Citadel and a Master of Communications and Journalism from the University of Georgia, I have a rich background in communications and public relations and am excited to combine my business expertise with my passion for storytelling to help you connect with your purpose and manage transitions.

My experiences include nearly two decades of Federal service, which included over a decade in the U.S. Coast Guard. I served on the West Coast, East Coast, Gulf Coast, and overseas and participated in large-scale events such as President Obama’s second inauguration. I responded to natural disasters, including the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and, after leaving the Coast Guard, spent several years working in the agriculture, wildlife conservation and Veterans Services sectors.

Before military life took me around the world, I lived and worked in Africa, teaching English and Sustainable Development in Ethiopia as a Peace Corps volunteer. I also spent time crewing on a 40’ catamaran, where I developed my sea legs and started the process towards my Maritime Captain’s licensure.

With my unique blend of military service, outdoor experience, and leadership expertise, I am dedicated to helping YOU uncover YOUR authentic voice and live with confidence, connection, and purpose.

When I’m not writing, fly fishing, skiing, hiking, camping or spending time in nature, you’ll find me with my husband, Josh, and my Chocolate Lab, Meatball.

Being in nature allows me to practice mindfulness, gratitude, patience. It is this beautiful dance of being present and connected, feeling deeply-rooted to the movement of the water, to the wildlife and to the fish that surround me. This gift provides a constant reminder that, when we care for these ecosystems, they can care for us.
